she's in love with the world

My 12+ year crush on this man is going strong. Such an aptly-titled (How many pop radio hits has he had that never reached pop radio?), brilliantly-produced EP of carefree, yet thoughtful pop.

Although the token heartfelt piano bridges are for the most-part replaced with the responsible use of wub wubs (scientific term), the catchy-as-f piano hooks are alive and well and take on a whole new vibe with the support of heavy synth and Latin influences.

It’s incredible to me that after 12 years, 2 bands and well over 7 albums, there’s still unexplored territory for Andrew, but this proves there is. My only complaint is that it’s not longer.

I truly hope the Pop Underground propels this inspirational, amazing man to the heights that his good friends fun. (alluded to heavily in “Synesthesia”) have proven possible in the last year. Cheers, Andy.

‘No, sir, the girl really worth having won’t wait for anybody.’
